Norfolk & Better is a 1500 acre traditional mixed farm in the heart of Norfolk. The farm is run by a small dedicated team and owned by entrepreneur Dr Peter Dawe.

Our Story
Nestled in the heart of Norfolk, Norfolk & Better is a 1,500-acre traditional mixed farm producing high-quality, ethically reared food with full traceability. Once solely arable, our farm has grown into a thriving, diverse operation, where we rear and butcher our own meat, craft award-winning cheeses, mill our own flour, and will soon be pressing our own oil—all on-site for unbeatable quality and minimal food miles.
Founded by entrepreneur Dr. Peter Dawe, the farm is now run with his son, Alex Dawe, alongside a passionate and dedicated team. Together, we are committed to sustainable farming, exceptional animal welfare, and producing food with true provenance.

Our Farming Philosophy
We believe great food starts with great farming. Our approach is built on:
- Wildlife & Biodiversity – We actively plant hedgerows and create natural habitats to support local wildlife.
- Animal Welfare – Our animals are grass-fed or woodland-reared, allowed to mature naturally, and raised to the highest welfare standards.
- Farm-to-Table Production – Everything we sell is made right here on the farm, ensuring full traceability and exceptional quality.

Our Produce
- Jagyu™ Beef, Woodland Pork & Home-Reared Lamb – Expertly butchered on-site, our premium meats offer rich flavour and tenderness.
- Award-Winning Cheeses – Handmade and matured in our cheese caves, our range includes Jiffler, Jiffler Blue, Breckland Brie, and Norbert.
- Stoneground Flour & Future Produce – We mill our own flour and will soon be producing cold-pressed oils, keeping everything local and sustainable.
